Dave might be one of THP's newest directors, but he's also one of our most experienced.

He joined us in August 2010 after his Sutton accountancy practice – Harrison & Associates – merged with THP. Based at our Cheam branch, Dave can now offer all his clients a wider range of services while new clients can also benefit from his skills.

Dave's experience is a huge asset to THP. He qualified as a certified accountant in 1971 and then went on to pursue a finance and business career with two major business to business publishing houses. For five years he was Group Chief Accountant of Benn Brothers plc.

After setting up his own accountancy firm in 1983 (with one client), Dave provided services to a broad spectrum of clients, including publishing and related activities. His practice was popular because it provided a first class service in a friendly down to earth manner – and that's something Dave is now proud to offer from within THP.

"The thrill of this business," explains Dave, "is that no two clients and their needs are the same. The variety is very much part of the enjoyment – and helping clients to succeed is both rewarding and worthwhile." "I still get the buzz!"

I don't think I have any specialist skills. I have always been and will continue to be a general practitioner covering most aspects of a modern commercial practice.
