Tony's been in accountancy since he left university and joined Thomson McLintock, the international accountancy firm that's now part of KPMG.
He thrived in the corporate environment and quickly became a manager in KPMG's small clients department. But after four years he was on the lookout for a new challenge, so he jumped at the opportunity to join THP's Wanstead office.
When THP opened its then branch in Sutton in 1987, Tony helped to get it established. With his expertise in compliance and audit work on offer, the office quickly thrived.
Today, Tony is Client Director at Cheam and is the branch's Responsible Individual, which means he's the person who signs off audits.
But although his role has grown over the years, his success is still based on the same talents and quick thinking as before: "I'm good at spotting opportunities and making decisions," he explains. "You have to be to succeed in this business."
