Soon after Tim joined our Saffron Walden office, he developed an in-depth interest in one particular specialist area – tax.

Since passing his tax exams, Tim has found that he relishes the thought of working on tax strategies for clients. "There's an uncertainty about tax work that I like," he explains. "It's rewarding to analyse complex situations and use the results to help businesses make major savings."

After a period spent as manager of our Saffron Walden office, Tim moved to our head office and formed THP's Advanced Tax Strategy department. This gave him the opportunity to build a talented team of tax specialists across the firm, and to develop a wide-ranging specialist portfolio.

As Tax Director, Tim is in the process of building up two new divisions within THP – THP Tax Solutions LLP and THP Wealth Structuring LLP. These projects have given him a much clearer insight into the daily business challenges faced by his clients.
 
Tim's a firm believer in rolling up his sleeves and helping out colleagues in any way he can. He takes particular pride in helping others develop their tax and accounting skills, and gets a lot of pleasure from his work.

"Some people go to work just to pay their bills,” he says. “I don't. I really enjoy my work."
