ACCOUNTS SENIOR

Role Purpose

Our Accounts Senior manages accounts preparation assignments, reviews work prepared by Juniors and Semi-Seniors, and contributes to advisory work. This role marks the transition from technical development to leadership capability.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Accounts Management

  • Manage a portfolio of accounts preparation assignments.
  • Prepare and review statutory financial statements for a range of clients.
  • Ensure disclosures are accurate and compliant with FRS 102 1a/105.
  • Identify complex accounting issues and escalate appropriately.
  • Preparation of Tax computations for Corporates, Partnership and Sole Traders.
  • Compete company Secretarial work
  • Liaison with third parties as required (HMRC, mortgage brokers etc)
  1. Advisory Support

  • Assist with advisory projects such as:
    • Cashflow forecasting
    • Management accounts
    • Systems improvements
    • Accounting treatment queries
  • Prepare technical research and draft client reports.
  1. Client Relationship Management

  • Act as the main point of contact for day-to-day client queries.
  • Build strong relationships and provide clear explanations of accounting matters.
  1. Team Leadership

  • Coach and mentor Juniors and Semi-Seniors.
  • Provide constructive feedback and support development.
