Audit Senior

We are looking for an Audit Senior to join the professional team at our head office in Wanstead East London. This is a full time role (37.5 hours) – with flexibility to work from home 2 days a week.

Purpose of role:

Running and assisting on audits for a variety of clients as part of the audit team, ensuring audit planning, fieldwork and completion is performed to a sufficient standard.

Key responsibilities:

• Act as the senior on audits, reporting directly to the audit manager.
• Responsible for planning of the audit right through to the completion sections, including drafting financial statements.
• Provide solutions and seek input to areas of concern / judgement as appropriate.
• Undertake audit field work at client premises, ensuring client expectations are managed appropriately.
• Supervise, brief and effectively delegate work to less experienced members of the audit team, providing feedback as necessary.
• Communicate with the audit manager regularly on the audit and make recommendation on how clients can improve their accounting systems / controls.

Desired attributes

• ACA qualified or almost fully qualified ACA accountant with strong technical skills.
• Demonstrate appropriate professionalism and willingness to work as part of a team when working on client premises, flexing to client requirements as necessary.
• Solid foundation of practical accounting experience.
• Excellent knowledge of UK GAAP / FRS102.
• Possess a positive and professional approach, with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Solid foundation of auditing experience and knowledge of relevant accounting standards.
